Applying for an Entry Visa (VITAS)

Once the Immigration Department sends the visa authorisation to the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate, you can then apply for your VITAS. There may not be an Indonesian Embassy or Consulate in your country, in which case, you have to find which one is responsible for your jurisdiction to get information on the detailed process of the Indonesia student visa application.

To apply for a VITAS, you have to provide the following documents:

  • a copy of your passport;
  • a copy of the Study Permit from the Indonesian Directorate General of Higher Education;
  • a copy of the Recommendation Letter from your university addressed to the Directorate of Immigration.
  • a copy of the Letter of Acceptance Letter from your university;
  • a copy of your academic transcript and records;
  • your Curriculum Vitae;
  • two recent passport-size pictures (4×6 cm);
  • a Letter of Financial Guarantee or a sponsorship certificate which proves you can cover your study and living expenses; and
  • health certificate.
