Welcome to Jember University

UNEJ is located in Jember, a small tropical town to the southeastern part of East Java Province. It is surrounded by a number of plantations mainly tobacco, cocoa, coffee and sugarcane. There are two major communities living in Jember, Javanese and Madurese, which have very unique cultures. The two ethnics characteristic and plantation area comprise a beauty of singular combination of scenic wonders and cultural heritage. In such a wonderful scenery, UNEJ is situated and developed. Jember lies between the two major world wonders,

Education at UNEJ, sets strong emphasis on encouraging and stimulating student to be creative and indenpendent thinkers. To promote this attitude, the academic cirriculum focuses on greater extent on analysis and problem solving in individual and project groups, as well as on writing report and paper.	Off campus activities: Besides studying, students are encouraged to have off campus activities and to make interaction with surrounding community in Jember area. Here are some ideas to get started: Shopping centers, restaurants, and street vendors which provide foods and drinks around campus, 24-hour Internet corners, Annual Traditional 30 km Long March Festival	Running more than 50 Study programs in the field of agriculture, engineering, social science and humanities, natural science. medical, and education, Unej creates more choices for fulfilling student interest.
