Visa Information

In some case, foreign students and visitor are required to have a Visa before embarkation to entry point of Indonesia. In General, Students or Visitors for visiting University of Jember requires one of the following type of visa below:

With this visa, you are permitted to pursue education in Indonesia at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels.
You may also bring eligible family members to reside in Indonesia, provided that all requirements stipulated under prevailing immigration laws and regulations are fulfilled.

As long as the Re-Entry Permit remains valid, you are allowed to enter and exit the territory of Indonesia.

In addition, you may engage in activities related to tourism and visit friends or family.

This is a Limited Stay Visa (Visa Tinggal Terbatas) for entry into Indonesia, allowing you to enter and exit Indonesia within a specified period.

This stay permit may be extended and may be converted into another type of stay permit in accordance with applicable regulations.

You may choose to stay in Indonesia for 1 year, 2 years, or 4 years, calculated from the date of arrival.
Extensions of the stay permit can be submitted online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id.

A sponsor is required to apply for this visa.

The sponsor must have a registered account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id prior to submitting a visa application on behalf of the foreign national.

After logging in, the sponsor may submit the visa application by uploading the required electronic documents (PDF or JPEG formats), including:

  • A valid national passport with a minimum remaining validity of 6 months;
  • Proof of sufficient living expenses during the stay in Indonesia in the form of bank statements for the last 3 months under the name of the foreign national or the sponsor, with a minimum balance of USD 2,000 (two thousand United States Dollars) or an equivalent amount;
  • A recent color photograph (taken within the last year).
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV);
  • Travel details (itinerary).
  • Proof of sponsorship from an individual sponsor or an educational institution where the foreign national is enrolled;
  • Letter of acceptance from the educational institution stating the duration of the study program to be undertaken by the foreign national.
  • The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If it is not used within this period, the foreign national must apply for a new visa to enter Indonesia.
  • Please note that visa validity is different from the permitted period of stay. Kindly check your visa for information regarding the authorized length of stay.
  • The Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) and Re-Entry Permit will be issued automatically once you are granted entry by an immigration officer at the Immigration Checkpoint.
  • You are prohibited from overstaying your permitted period of stay, engaging in activities inconsistent with the granted stay permit, or selling goods or services, except where such activities are expressly required as part of your authorized activities.
  • Examination of the completeness of required documents;
  • Verification of immigration fee payments in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations;
  • Profile creation and verification;
  • Approval;
  • Visa issuance.
