Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is now accepting nominations and applications for the Semester 1, 2026-2027 (Fall 2026) exchange programme. This is an invitation for students from our partner universities to experience academic life in Brunei.+1
Key Deadlines
- Internal Nomination closing date by University of Jember (28 February 2026)
- Nomination Closing Date (Online): 31 March 2026.
- Application Closing Date (Email): 30 April 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the exchange, students must:
- Have completed at least one year of full-time study at a partner university.
- Be nominated by their home university’s International Office.
- Hold a minimum CGPA of 2.5 (out of 4.0) or 3.0 (out of 5.0).
- Meet English proficiency standards (e.g., IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550, or TOEFL iBT >79).
- Possess a passport valid for at least 6 months after the programme ends.
Academic Information
- Term Dates: 31 August 2026 to 17 January 2027.
- Freshers’ Week: 24 August 2026 to 30 August 2026.
- Course Load: A maximum of 16 modular credits (typically 4 modules).
- Tuition Fees: Waived for students from partner universities.
Accommodation & Living Costs
- On-Campus Housing: Available at The Core Residential College (single-gender apartments).
- Rental Fee: BND 250 per month (plus a BND 10 Wi-Fi fee).
- Estimated Living Expenses: USD 300 to USD 600 per month (excluding accommodation).
Application Process
The application is conducted in three phases:
- Phase 1: Submit tentative module choices, a passport copy, academic transcripts, and English proficiency scores to the unique Google folder provided by UBD after nomination.+1
- Phase 2: Submit a completed medical check once module choices are accepted.
- Phase 3: Provide proof of comprehensive travel medical insurance (including COVID-19 and repatriation coverage) and flight itineraries.
Important Note: Do not purchase flight tickets until you have received your Visa on Arrival (VOA) letter from UBD.
