Universitas Jember informs the academic community that the Call for Applications for the International Deans’ Course (IDC) Southeast Asia 2026/27 is now open. This prestigious program is jointly organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, and the Centre for Higher Education (CHE).
The course aims to prepare newly elected deans and academic leaders from Southeast Asian universities for the challenges of higher education management. It provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen leadership and management competencies through a combination of workshops, peer learning, and mentoring by experienced Southeast Asian experts.
Eligibility and Participant Profile:
- Newly elected deans, vice deans, or heads of departments
- Age range: approximately 40–50 years
- Eligible countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam
Funding and Support:
The DAAD covers international flights, local transportation within the host country, accommodation, and selected meals. Emergency health insurance is also provided for Part I of the course. Participants’ universities are required to contribute a fee of 600 euros (approximately 5% of total costs).
