The International Office is pleased to announce the opportunity for students to participate in the Exchange Program at Prefectural University of Hiroshima (PUH), Japan for the Spring 2026 semester.

A. Program Periods
- One Year: April 2026 – March 2027
- One Semester: April 2026 – September 2026
B. Number of Students Accepted
Up to five students per partner university (may vary depending on faculty availability).
C. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a full-time student at University of Jember and recommended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs.
- Be in good physical and mental health.
- Be able to cover living expenses during the program.
- Meet the required level of Japanese language proficiency (depending on faculty/program):
- Faculty of Regional Development / Health & Welfare: JLPT N1 or equivalent.
- Faculty of Bioresource Sciences: JLPT N2 or equivalent.
- Graduate School Programs: JLPT N2–N5, depending on the program (consult the International Office for details).
D. Academic Requirement
Undergraduate students are required to take at least 7 classes (10 hours) per week.

F. Required Application Documents
- Application Form for International Students (Exchange Program) – prescribed format.
- Study Purpose and Plan (approx. 700 words).
- Letter of Recommendation.
- Academic Transcript in English.
- Certificate of Enrollment (Student Registration/KTM).
- Certificate of Japanese/English proficiency (e.g., JLPT/TOEFL).
- Health Certificate by a medical institution – prescribed format.
- Copy of Passport (bio page).
- Application Form for “Certificate of Eligibility” (Excel format, and will be guided to fill in for nominated students only).
- Digital ID photo (4cm × 3cm, recent, plain background).
G. How to Apply and Application Deadlines
All required documents, must be submitted to International Office of University of Jember before the deadline. All Documents will be checked and subjected to verification and selection. The best 5 applicants will be recommended and the application will be forwarded to Prefectural University of Hiroshima before the particular deadline.
- October 15, 2025: Deadline Application at International Office, Universitas Jember
- October 17, 2025: Nomination list submission by the International Office.
- October 31, 2025: Complete set of application documents.
Applications will not be accepted if documents are incomplete after the deadline.
