The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, Indonesia invites students to participate in the Summer Course on Sustainable Tropical Agriculture 2025.
The Summer Course on Sustainable Tropical Agriculture 2025 is scheduled to take place from 4 July to 8 August 2025 and is designed to provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary learning experience in sustainable tropical agriculture. Through this program, participants will engage in academic exchange, collaborative discussions, and hands-on field experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable agricultural practices in tropical regions.
This year, the program will be offered in two formats to accommodate diverse learning preferences:
- Online Only – Includes interactive lectures, independent research, group projects, and assignments.
- Hybrid (Online + Field Trip) – In addition to the online learning components, participants are able to join a one-week field trip in Indonesia (4 – 8 August 2025). The field trip will provide practical exposure, hands-on learning, and site visits to agricultural enterprises and research centers. The organizing committee will cover hotel accommodations, meals, and local transportation for participants during the field trip.
The Summer Course is equivalent to 3 (three) credits (4.54 ECTS), making it a valuable academic opportunity for students seeking to expand their knowledge and international experience.
